I'm a loyal Nissan customer with two Nissan vehicles (i.e. a 2021 Titan & a 2020 Kicks). I was sent mail correspondence regarding a factory recall issue for my 2021 Nissan Titan, so I decided to take the vehicle in for the repairs. Once the repairs were complete, a service technician called me and stated that my service engine light was on, and they advised that I should have this looked at because the truck can'tpass inspection with the service engine light on. I agreed, and hours later, the technician tells me that I have a bad valve with burned wires that needs to be replaced. After further investigation, the technician says that the wires are burned out up to the electrical wiring harness. I agree to the $899 repair, and the next day, when I go to pick up my car, none of my lights nor turn signals are functioning properly. Also, the center console flickers on and off every time I hit the leaver for the left or right turn signal. So, I return the truck to Nissan service the next day. And they look into the problem further and discover that the wiring harness where the original faulty valves was tied into is heavily corroded, and will require new wiring harnesses that will cost me in upwards of $5k to $7k for the repairs. After doing some research, I've discovered that the issue of corroded wiring harnesses is a WELL KNOWN issue for Nissan Titans, and in the past, Nissan has repaired this issue free of charge for other customers. After calling Nissan Consumer Affairs and filing case #51190076 on the issue, I received one phone call from a representative, who (i.e. in his message stated that he was in the process of getting more information regarding the issue from the service tech) but since that call, I have not been able to get that representative back on the phone, nor has he called me back with a resolution for the issue. My vehicle was functioning properly when I first took it in for the service recall. My truck had been sitting for almost 3 weeks with no resolution of the issue. NOT AT THE FAULT OF TOWN CENTER NISSAN, but this issue took 4 weeks to resolve, but Town Center Nissan stuck with it and got the resolution I needed. They were able to get the entire repair covered by Nissan Consumer Affairs, and once they got the green light to start the repairs, it only took them 4 days to complete this major repair. While I was very disappointed with the Nissan Comsumer Affairs representative's response time and availability to provide resolution of the matter in a reasonable amount of time, I am very pleased with the Town Center Nissan service department.
